ECONOMIC SCIENCE FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT

The conference is organized annually by the Faculty of Economics and Social Development of Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies in cooperation with Latvian Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences Nordic Association of Agricultural Scientists.

The aim of the conference is to find out solutions, exchange ideas or highlight topical challenges on bioeconomy and bioresources, rural development and entrepreneurship, as well as to search for new dimensions in the development of society.

  • Rural Development and Entrepreneurship
  • Circular Economy: Climate Change, Environmental Aspect, Cooperation, Supply Chains

The proceedings of the conference are published since 2000. The proceedings contain scientific papers representing not only the science of economics in the diversity of its sub-branches, but also other social sciences (sociology, political science), thus confirming inter-disciplinary development of the contemporary social science.

Conference articles are indexed in Web of Science™, Clarivate Analytics (former Thomson Reuters), AGRIS, CABI, EBSCO Academic Search Complete databases and Google Scholar.

Important note: Exclusion of Russian Federation and Belarus from collaboration with LBTU.

The war of Russian Federation against Ukraine and threatening of many other countries, as well as supportive actions of the war by Republic of Belarus are unacceptable by international democratic communities. Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies has terminated collaboration with any Russian and Belarussian institutions and their academical and scientifical staff.
